Well after looking at John Pye's sale yesterday I have to admit a sneaking regard for John Pye Don't Buy.
If I was a seller of goods there would be a strong case for using John Pye - They seem to obtain prices higher than any other auction house despite the widespread bad publicity they receive, despite their total lack of customer service and despite their unethical approach. Of course I am not a seller I am a buyer and as a buyer they are undoubtedly the least attractive auction house. So if you are selling use John Pye if you are buying definitely "don't buy from John Pye"
Total con, all goods sub-standard. not as described.
ReplyDeletePurchased item, supposed to be ex display/returns, item turned out to be 8 YEARS OLD-PRODUCT RECALL-VERY DANGEROUS. Samsung American Freezer. John Pye refused to accept any responsibility.

ReplyDeleteBought items which was on their site as "in factory sealed packaging" and even though they was not they said they are covered for "mis-description". Avoid this place. Staff are untrained and dont have an ethical manner.
I bought on a number of occasions giving benefit of the doubt. Bought lamps (2 in 1 box) stating that there were 18 in total. This would lead you to believe that there were 18 boxes and not 18 lamps. Clearly misleading the buyer.
ReplyDeleteFinal straw that broke the back was that I won some items and requested that they were packed for a pickup. I never booked a collection but they claimed that the items were loaded onto a van with my name. They never returned my calls nor accepted liabilty. I have no goods and I'm out of pocket by over £300. Hence they're LIARS AND THIEVES
John Pye have no regard for any customers,my son and myself were physically threatened and abused, you may ask why?for simply asking to speak to a manager regarding an item I had purchased. The new Boness site in Scotland seem to be operated by liars and thugs.Purchase items from a legitimate source, ant savings you think you may have made will soon cost you more, one way or another. Some lots of goods are actually dangerous and not fit for purpose.I have since spoken to people who have actually had items go on fire,in their home.Could end up costing a life, not worth a small saving at time of purchase.Best Wishes Shirley
